Herojit Philem

Herojit Philem (Philem Herojit Singh) is one amongst millions who have encountered loneliness, failures, disappointments, mockery, and criticism. With multiple dreams unfulfilled, his struggles never end. 

Although he has met tonnes of obstacles at different facets of life, his desire to learn, his passion for writing and his commitment in doing something significant grow stronger with the passage of time. 

He was born and brought up in the North-eastern state of India, Manipur.

His writing journey began with an eleven line long piece, titled “LONELINESS” which was written and published when he was reading in the eighth standard. 

To generate pocket money, he started teaching in a neighbourhood school along with providing private tuitions to some kids in his locality. Since then, the love of the profession of teaching slowly grew. 

And now he worked with a couple of schools in his home town and is currently teaching in Good Shepherd English School, Kangpokpi. He is also a faculty of Accelerate Kangpokpi branch. And he is an educator at Agape Children Home, Kangpokpi. 

He did his schooling at St. Francis De-Sales School, Kangpokpi and Secondary from K.T College, Kangpokpi, Manipur. He graduated with English Honours from Manipur College, Imphal and acquired his Master Degree in English Literature from IGNOU. And he is currently pursuing his B. Ed degree from T. C College of Teachers’ Education, Kangpokpi.
