I conceptualized this poetry to be written in English, and later I may decide to translate them into Chinese Mandarin.
Moreover, “The Light of Island” presents the true beauty of my inner world.
On the other hand, it reflects my thoughts which are inspired by my country’s citizens. These series of poems will give the readers a unique way to observe and imagine their minds that have specific feelings and emotions when readers try to open their minds to feel the special atmospheres around their sides.

Jackson Chang
Jackson Chang is an MA student enrolled in the English Program at the National Central University in Taiwan. He is interested in children’s literature, poetry and translation.
Jackson has been writing poetry since 2018 and admires the work of Rabindranath Tagore, famous for his poems and songs, and for being the first Asian to win the Noble Prize in 1913. Furthermore, he admires the work of Hafez Shirazi and Pablo Neruda, known for their ghazals and sonnets.
