This book is written as a guide to industrial professionals, young engineers, entrepreneurs, and industrialists, and other stakeholders who need a huge energy in process industries in different forms through industrial/process equipment for several human needs. Dr. A.K. Das is presently the Professor & Head of the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering at Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal. He holds a Ph.D. (Tech) from Calcutta University and has over 24 years of industrial experience in senior management roles. Prior to his current position, he served as Registrar at MCKV Institute of Engineering and held leadership roles at Durgapur Institute of Advanced Technology and Management. Dr. Das has published numerous papers, co-authored four books on Power Plants, and guided research scholars. He is a Fellow of IE(I) and a Life-Member of professional bodies like IIChE, CAII (Kolkata), and SESI, New Delhi.
P.K. Das is a seasoned Process and Power Plant Engineer with engineering qualifications in Chemical and Mechanical Engineering. He holds a Boiler Operation Engineering (BOE) competency certificate and a PG Diploma in Materials Management. With over 14 years in the Government sector and 23 years in the private sector, P.K. Das has extensive experience in Project Execution, Commissioning, and Operation & Maintenance of Process Plants and Power Plants. He has worked with notable companies such as Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation of India Ltd, Indian Charge Chrome Ltd, and Dishergarh Power Plant. P.K. Das became a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers (I) in 2003, showcasing his commitment to professional development.
