Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalDr Srikar Arora. One of the top neurosurgeons in the country. An exemplary doctor and a loner by nature. His heart was well and truly locked away behind the walls as thick as the Fort Knox. Only the man who raised him as his own knew the reason behind his life’s choices. Having been a victim of horrifying child abuse and having watched his mother bludgeoned to death by his own father, he vowed to himself that the circle of violence would end with him.
Your genetics load the gun. Your lifestyle pulls the trigger. – Mehmet Oz
He was a loaded gun. And he was determined that there would be no victims like his mother. Or himself.
One fine day in walked Saanvi Grover. The vivacious intern who was fifteen years his junior, did the impossible. She infiltrated through the tight secure walls and reached his heart with astounding ease. He fought, he dodged but he was no match to her unconditional love and unwavering faith. Too tempted and too weak to resist, he made her his under the condition that they would have no children, natural or adopted, of their own.
But fate apparently had other plans. What would he do? Leave his pregnant wife because he had vowed to protect her and the baby from himself? Or prove that love was stronger than DNA?
Suvika
New India needs new stories.
Suvika’s female protagonists are Indian women of the 21st century. They are strong and independent. Women, for whom, love is part of their life’s journey, not the destination. They need no white knights to fight their battles and they are no man’s arm candy. These are the kind of women, people, especially the ones between 25 - 35 look for, when they read a book or watch a show or a movie. These women are not just my protagonists or heroines. They are the ones that women look up to as their role models.
The men of today’s world are mature. They see women as their equals. Their partners. Men who don’t turn into puppets or chauvinists with the women they are in love with or married to. These are the kind of men that women today look for. Fall for. They are the male protagonists of her stories.
Suvika believes that a beautiful story can be woven around two strong people. Crisis is a crucible for an intense romance. But the story should be bounded. A beginning that’s riveting, a plot that’s strong and an ending that closes the loops.
Having written ten books, these thoughts and beliefs are the cornerstones for all her stories.
