Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalWhether we admit it or not, we are lost, trying to find our place in the world, trying to make sense off all that happens around us. We are adrift in the storm of conflicting emotions inside us. These poems are my way of sharing experiences and emotions that the youth faces. These poems mirror the thoughts and feelings of the youth. Hopefully, they are a way for you to accept, acknowledge and express all that you are feeling and ultimately find yourself by admitting that you are indeed lost. Through these poems I hope to reach out to any one feeling low or upset and let them know that it is perfectly normal to feel however they do and that they are never alone in the way they feel.
Nishtaa Modi
Nishtaa is a 16 year old student studying in Gurgaon. Just like any other teenager, she is trying to find her place in the world. Amid all the chaos, pressure and competition, poetry is a way for her to express herself. Initially she would write only for herself. But when she shared her poems with students like herself, she realized that they reciprocated her experiences and emotions which is what gave her the motivation to publish these poems. Nishtaa enjoys debating, reading, and playing the sitar. Like any other student, her days are busy and chaotic. But poetry allows her a few minutes of stillness and tranquility. It is a way for her to understand and accept everything she and people around her experience. This is her first book and she thinks of it as an adventure. She hopes to become a pharmaceutical engineer someday and literature is her way of coping with and finding peace in the highly logical and competitive world of science.
