Dr. D. GNANASEKARAN,M.A., M.Phil (Stylistics), Ph.D. (ELT), PGDJMC (IGNOU - Gold Medalist) has forty years’ collegiate teaching and research experience. In addition, he is a bilingual writer, critic, poet, short story writer, translator, broadcaster, reviewer, and communication skills consultant. He has authored Indian Writing in English Today: Insights for the Future (a collection of research articles), and Stylistics of Poetry: A Practical Approach. His English translations include The Madcap (Piththan, a collection of Tamil poems by Kavikko Abdul Rahman, Dr. T. Ramanayagam: A Biography and The Girl My Age (Enchottupen, a collection of Tamil poems by Thamizhachi) besides numerous translations of poems, plays and short stories published in various journals. This is his first collection of short stories.
