Mrs. Sudha Mahesh, Educator
Sudha Mahesh, mother of two children, chose to become a teacher in her early thirties. She started her career in teaching with an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Madras University and a short-term diploma course in Nursery Teacher Training. Her first few years of work experience revolved around kindergartners, which was a great learning experience for her personally. Slowly, after obtaining a master’s degree in Child Care and Education, she decided to venture into primary school teaching.
Out of her own interest, she pursued a Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers. The first session of the program made her realize that it is teachers who need transformation, and not the school or syllabus. A transformation in the role she pursues.
This book is thus a humble and sincere effort by Mrs. Sudha Mahesh to share her observations on being a teacher, approaches that she has tried and her personal opinions and views about teacher’s role in this century.
Mrs. Sudha Mahesh is currently the Head of an upcoming CIE school at Chennai. Passionate about education, she is earnest about raising the bar of teaching quality in any given set up or circumstance and maximizing the efficiency of teachers wherever they work.
