Boats is about ordinary people who believe, own and act on their dreams with positive affirmations, willpower and the urge to make it happen. Set against the backdrop, is a stay of a couple who dared to dream the impossible and defied all odds to create a boutique hotel in a beautiful part of scenic Goa.
Along the way, they realised the MAGIC of realising a dream had a lot to do with BOATS! Read on and unravel the secrets of how one can dream and achieve all that you had wanted through your own hands and hard work!
Go through the pages in sequence to understand the philosophy of BOATS and watch a beautiful hotel emerge in front of your eyes as you glance through the pictures that chronicle the journey! Apply the learnings to create a road map to achieve all that you want one step at a time.
Share this with others and inspire them to Dream and Achieve: if we could do it, you can!
Vistasp Bhagwagar
The author is an accomplished architect with 30 years of work experience and runs a practice by the name of AVA Design (www.avadesignstudio.co.in) in New Delhi and Bangalore. The practice is based on the principle of GOOD DESIGN = GOOD business and every project of this firm attempts to look at design as a story that builds upon the local context and content to be able to best relate to the surroundings.
Vistasp calls himself a “Happengineer” and tries to make his projects “Happy” and “Happening”. This book celebrates one such Boutique Architecture project which means the world to him and makes him a “hotelier” amongst other things!
Besides being an Architect, Vistasp wears a few more hats: he is an artist – cartoonist and a voracious speaker at most public forums concerning workspace and hospitality design. He is also an Author of a Book “Positivity @ The Workspace” that has been well received and is a compilation of 30 Principles of Design for Positive Workplaces. Vistasp is also a Poet and looks forward to publishing poetry with meaning some day!
