Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalWhen Tarsem Mittal met Kanta Aggarwal, and they married in 1970, little did they know that they were about to write a remarkable story. But the seeds of their story were sown many, many years earlier, in 1926, when Mohanlal Aggarwal, Kanta’s grandfather, left India and travelled to Tanganyika in Africa in search of a fortune.
Tarsem and Kanta’s lives were stormy as trials and tribulations awaited them at every twist and turn their journey took. But, the couple weathered the storm, faced many adversities and emerged triumphant.
They believe it is Satguru Jagjit Singhji’s constant grace in their lives that has brought them so far.
From a single petrol station in the 70s, to hundreds, today, they also own rice and edible oil mills. They have steered their family business into a formidable transglobal energy, agriculture and logistics conglomerate spread across Africa, the Middle East and India - the Mount Meru Group.
This is their extraordinary story.
