SIDDHARTHA BANDYOPADHYAY

Siddhartha is a 19-year-old student, pursuing an Integrated Master of Physics Course at University of Oxford, UK. He passed Indian School Certificate Examinations (Class 12) in 2023 from The Heritage School, Kolkata, India. He was the School Vice-Captain and represented India at the Asia Pacific Forum for Science Talented in Taiwan in 2019. He was awarded with the NTSE and KVPY scholarships - both prestigious national-level scholarships in India for outstanding students and won the Quadsparks Competition in IISc, Bangalore in 2022. He is a member of Mensa Indian arm of the international high IQ society Mensa.

An avid quizzer, with numerous national and regional laurels in GK and science quizzes, a passionate musician, with a Grade 8 certificate in Violin from the ABRSM, UK, he enjoys sports, holds a Black Belt in Karate, a FIDE-rating in Chess and has joined the rowing club in his college.

A writer from a young age, he was the Editor of the Science magazine in school and published his first e-book of poems and short stories, Through my Pencil’s Lens in 2022. Fascinated from a young age by the mysteries of stars and black holes, he aspires to build a career in astrophysics and quantum physics
