Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalWhat was going on within the Crooked Spur?
A wild buttress of rocks and thorny shrubs from where a bitter stream issued, this place was lonely and had no visitors except for the odd bear, panther, or Russel’s viper. So, what were the strange lights that bobbed down the hill at sunset to disappear into the forbidding blackness of the Spur? And why did they glide up again deep in the night?
And then, did the student from Bangalore who wanted to explore the Spur for archaeological finds and her two associates, a local bum and a suspicious dandy, have anything to do with it?
Most of all, how did the terrible, ghastly finger they found in the marsh connect with everything?
Doug Geoghegan had to investigate. Though wild and forbidding, the Crooked Spur was a part of his property. If anyone was up to no good within the darkness of the cave there, he needed to put an end to it. But was he ready for the chilling mystery that unfolded?
Cindy Pereira
Cindy Pereira, born and raised in Bangalore, India, prefers to be called a storyteller rather than a writer. Her love for making up stories began at a very young age when her dolls became the actors for scripts written in her mind. This turned to writing in middle school when she and her best friend hand-wrote stories for each other, complete with binding and cover pages. Some of her stories spark from life events, and some are just yarns.
Keen to participate in short story competitions, Cindy has won several within India and internationally.
She has also self-published eight novellas and more than a hundred short and flash fiction stories, which can be found in anthologies under her name on the website https://notionpress.com/store.
Cindy has a Master’s Degree in English Literature and loves to trek, run and ‘catch the sun.’ She is married and lives with her husband in Bangalore.
