In the next few decades it founf application in the Automotive industrt and then into Fluid Mechanucs and CFD along with Heat Transfer. Today it is an indispensable tool in Design. It is basically an energy minimisation technique.
Students should find this easy to understand as the concepts are gradually introduced without complicated mathematics. A knowledge of matrix methods would later be required.
