Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalI love to travel the world alone, meet and interact with strangers who become friends, share experiences and confessions…and draw inspiration from their stories; I do tend to get a bit melancholic when I’m in some unknown part of the world, alone on a bus or train or plane, and that’s how many of these poems got written. They were written over a few decades, randomly, in no particular order, just representing the ever evolving nature of love…..the first glance, the attraction, the excitement, the passion, the longing, the loneliness, the agony and the ecstasy!
Theatre being my first love, I do enjoy the element of Drama… there’s plenty of it in the poems… and being a romantic, naturally my poems are about love and passion. I hope my readers will identify with them, and connect with at least a few of them on a personal level….
Mala Pasha
Born and raised in Calcutta, Mala (Mirchandani) Pasha moved to Hyderabad fairly early in life. She founded her theatre company , The Torn Curtains, in 1971, acting in and directing numerous plays.
Her passion for travelling the world took her on long journeys, which often resulted in her sharing life’s experiences with fellow travelers.
Each person had a story to tell; some were light and left her amused, some were stories of such internal and emotional strength, they left her amazed and humbled, others were dark with much intrigue woven around them.
It was this landscape of emotions, as varied as the colours of the evening sky, that inspired many of the poems captured in this book.
