Arun Bhagwati

Arun Bhagwati was born in New Delhi. In his early years he was raised in north-east India and then came to Dehradun where he completed his school education. Later he worked in various organizations across India. He started his career in the year 2001 as an analyst and worked with the corporate for the next 15 years.  During this time, he was also involved with his music, short stories, modeling, photography and writing articles for the learning and development industry.

Raised in an army home, he has traveled the length and breadth of the country from a very young age. This exposure helped him learn 4 languages including Nepali and he understands 4 other regional languages including Haryanvi. His work, experiences of life and surroundings gave him a different stance to life’s reality and fiction. Monotony and a strong desire to break free led him to a small valley at the foot hills of the Himalayas and there he brought his knowledge and imagination to life in this book.

Guardians of Shambhala is the author’s first book. Good work draws admiration and here we have this story beyond imagination for you. This book does not only widen your imagination but also compels you to fictionalize and visualize like the author. A well-knitted mythological fiction with an ease to connect for readers is what makes this a brilliant piece of work. Arun has also written and directed a few short films and has participated in Asia’s largest film festival a few times. A music lover, he has a large collection of tapes which is treasure to him. He is a metal head and has had his fair share of love for long hair. He loves his wardrobe. He enjoys binging on momos and chai.
