Bankim Jha
Bankim has spent 6 years in a military boarding school ( The Army Public School, Dagshai ) and has lived his entire childhood in the military atmosphere. Being exposed to such a lifestyle at a very young age he learned the core ethics of military service and hence inculcated qualities like discipline & punctuality.
While pursuing his undergraduate course he joined the world's largest uniformed youth organization i.e. the National Cadet Corps, India at No. 2 Bengal Air Squadron NCC ( Jadavpur University )
In his 3 years of serving as a cadet, he has successfully completed 3 prestigious national camps namely -
1. AIVSC 2017 ( Jodhpur, Rajasthan )
2. IMA Dehradun Attachment Camp, 2018 ( Dehradun, Uttrakhand )
3. Republic Day Camp 2019 ( Delhi, India )
While concluding his 3 years as a cadet; the organization felicitated him with the Governor's Medal for being the Best Cadet at Republic Day Camp 2019 and also qualified for his "C Certificate Exam" administered by the NCC after completion of 3 years as a senior division cadet with alpha grade.
In the year 2019, after returning from RDC, he penned down the experience of the All India Best Cadets from various national camps and wrote a book named - Half Soldiers, What It Takes To Become A Best Cadet?
The book received a heartwarming acknowledgment from the cadets who were aspiring to such national camps and the title of All India Best Cadet. The book is a success in creating a medium to connect the cadets from all over the country; the reviews & feedback from the readers of the book say it all.
In 2020, Bankim got the opportunity to appear for CTOP 4 organized by the EXPA NCC - CADET Program in Bengaluru and qualified as a CADET Trainer.
Half Soldiers expanded from just being a book to becoming a medium to connect 10,000+ cadets across the country over a digital platform through various webinars & online sessions, podcast and valuable content over various social media platform, mainly Instagram @jhabankim
