Tholoor M. Thomas is a retired Investment professional and a banker with over 40 years of experience in investment management and banking. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute, USA. In addition, he is a graduate in Law and Science.
As an investment manager, he has managed an international multi-asset investment portfolio of significant size with assets in all major asset classes. He is well experienced in all aspects of Foreign Exchange management.
Thomas has previously written two books – “The Bull Run” and “Inside the Foreign Exchange Universe”. He has also written several articles on investments and financial subjects for key magazines and publications. Thomas has won several financial forecast competitions held by leading global financial institutions. He has rendered a commendable service to the CFA society in Bahrain. He is credited as the first user of the Bloomberg financial and information system in the whole of Middle East.
Having started his investment and banking career in the ‘70s, Thomas has seen the exponential growth of global capital markets. He has also seen how the global Forex market developed from a primitive stage to what it is now. In terms of global Fixed Income market, he has seen the explosion in the volume of international debt market. In the complicated Alternative Investment space, Thomas was an active participant in many of the assets which were introduced in the Alternative asset class.
