Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh Pal“In Search Of A Rainbow” is a book of 100 personal poems written across 15 years and is an autobiography of sorts, in verse. It is a mixture of rhymes on love, hurt, loss, betrayal and death, and hints at the poet’s struggle to find that rainbow of joy. There are also lines to undying friendship, childhood memories, the mysteries of the river and mountains, and the crackling of a campfire.
The poems are mostly dark, perhaps a little cloudy and rainy, but the reader will appreciate the struggle of the “dark years” and the constant search for a rainbow.
Enjoy these poems on your way to school, college, work, or under a tree in a grassy meadow. They are simple and easy to read.
Cindy Pereira
Cindy Pereira, born and raised in Bangalore, India, prefers to be called a storyteller rather than a writer. Her love for making up stories began at a very young age when her dolls became the actors for scripts written in her mind. This turned to writing in middle school when she and her best friend penned stories for each other, complete with binding and cover pages. Some of her stories spark from life events, and some are just yarns. She calls her poems ‘sparks from the fires of her story telling.’
Cindy has a Master’s Degree in English Literature and loves to trek, run and ‘catch the sun.’ She is married and lives with her husband in Bangalore.
