Sweta Kumari
Sweta Kumari (Gold Medalist, M.A. in English) is currently pursuing her Ph.D in English Literature and her doctoral research project entitled as "Dialectics of Feminism in Select Hindi Films and Film Adaptations of Indian English Novels (1960-2010)". Besides, she is a bi-lingual poetess and short story writer from Bihar, India. Writing helps her a lot to survive in her worst times; it is her escape from reality. She truly believes, "if music eases mind, writing heals it" After struggling between her academics and passion, she now finds solace in only and only words. She got her first two poems entitled "Tranquility in Life" and “The Dejected House” published in an Annual Magazine of SPARC (Society for Promotion of Arts & Culture), Karim City College, Jamshedpur, 2016-17. She has written everything from poetry, quotes and short stories to micro tales and open letters. Her writings are mostly inspired by her own life and experiences and what she witnessed in the society. Likewise, continuous participation in anthologies kept her connected to it. And she has contributed her writings in about 75 book anthologies including national and international anthologies, journals and magazines etc. Her profile has been published for being one of the wonderful Women in Overseas Coffee Table Book entitled 25 Wonderful Women of Virtue.
