This book has come together because of the observations, perspectives and research on the different aspects as well as applied uses of medicinal herbs by two competent and dedicated academicians – Dr. Meena K Yadav MS; and Dr Krishnat S Yadav, Ph. D.

Dr Krishnat Yadav is a research associate and clinical researcher at the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine, DY Patil University, Mumbai and Dr Meena K Yadav is part of the Department of Shalakya Tantra (treatment of head, eye, nose and throat), DY Patil University. Dr Krishnat Yadav is also the Member Secretary of Institutional Ethics Committee, former course coordinator and FRC member at the university.

Both authors have national and international publications on their credit. Their research publications focus on preventive aspects of health rather than disease cure. Their domain of research includes diabetic, metabolic disorders, infectious diseases, epidemiology, public health and safety, noise-induced hearing loss, and professional hazards, among others.
