Sumeet Kumar

I started writing poetry in my teens. I went through formal education like most of the kids, completing school then moving onto university for higher studies. Though poetry remained my first love, be it reading or writing. I got educated in Science background mostly due to vagaries of employability in my future life. After passing 12th standard I wrote competitive exams and managed to get into the field of Dental Sciences. I was more than a decent student there yet my yearning for literature would constantly churn me from within. At the same time I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a chronic debilitating disease which would put me in constant pain, stiffness, and eventually limit me physically. I had no choice but to discontinue my studies in the Final Year of Dental School. Since then I have been doing odd jobs to keep paying the bills. Poetry though has helped me deal with the tough times and the good. So, I thought it would be appropriate to share my work. Apart from the monetary benefits I would be happier to know if even a single reader enjoyed and appreciated my work.
