Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalA compilation of poems written throughout her life about the compelling situations, observations and moments which invoked strong emotions in her, expressing themselves through her words. The poems poignantly depict her love for nature, her country and country men, the soldiers fighting for the country, her feelings of ecstasy and joy, also her dispirited days and yearnings. Many of her poems are written in simple English in the form of lessons to the young generation, a guide to keep them moving during their difficult times. A voice for the oppressed, her poems reflect the sufferings of unseen and unheard lives.
Mrinalini Chetia Borgohain
Mrinalini Chetia Borgohain was a subject teacher in English in Naharkatia Higher Secondary School, Dibrugarh, Assam. She worshiped her vocation and woke up every day with the spirit to love and serve humankind in whatever way she can stretch her hands. She had a keen interest in writing and reading any form of literature, believing there is something to learn from everything and liked spending time discerning the beauty of nature. She lived her live with gratitude and an ardent desire to do something for humanity. She was blessed not only with the art of public speaking but also the courage to speak up for the right. She had also published three of her poetry books in Assamese language. She had suddenly left us for her eternal sleep leaving behind her unborn literary child, with an unfulfilled dream to publish it. I, Dr Ashapurna Borgohain, her daughter am publishing this book on behalf of her with a heavy heart. I wish I could have seen her smile of satisfaction at the birth of her most beloved literary piece.
