Alexander P. Samuel, known as a pioneer of industries, was the first Indian Christian to enter Botswana. He was also the first Church Treasurer of the Anglican Diocese of Botswana—Northern Chapter.
Being a fully-trained British soldier in Zambia and having fought in the Belgium-Congo war at Kolwezi border, he learnt to work hard and be punctual.
He was a bookkeeper and accountant who later became a textile expert. He volunteered for International Executive Service Corp, (IESC) during President George Bush's administration. He has visited Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar and Rwanda for the African Growth and Opportunity Act—or AGOA—a piece of legislation that was approved by the U.S. Congress in May 2000, for which he received the Presidential Bronze Award.
