Each chapter has a learning or a message that I extracted while I was going through those moments.
These are my encounters with the BCM as a practitioner, trainer, consultant and auditor during my service in the companies and countries across various industry sectors.

Daman Dev Sood
With over 35 years in the industry and over 16 years in the Resilience domain, Daman Dev Sood is a Certified International and Corporate Trainer with over 9500 hours of training/teaching experience.
He started his professional journey with ‘TCS’ where he played many different roles for 20 years. Then he moved to ‘Xansa/Steria’ to be the Global Business Continuity Manager.
Then he moved to Continuity & Resilience as a full-time trainer & consultant. He also worked with ‘Cityinnovates’ as COO.
Daman has played various senior/executive roles like - Principal Consultant, Group Head, Practice Head, COO, CIO, VP, Board Member etc.
As part of his work, he has travelled to/worked in over 20 countries.
He has served clients in various industry sectors like Government, IT, Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, Telecom, Marine, Manufacturing, Pharma, Power, Media, Trading etc.
During his journey, Daman has won multiple national and global awards including ILA’s Global Outstanding Leadership Award 2021, BCI’s C&R Business Continuity Manager of the Year Award India 2009, BCI’s Merit Award Global 2012, BCI’s Continuity & Resilience Contributor Award Middle East 2020 (and Global Finalist), DRII’s Lifetime Achievement Award 2021(Finalist), BCI’s Continuity & Resilience Contributor Award India & South Asia 2021.
He is a speaker and author. He also spends time on his pro-bono work.
