Dr. P. R. Muthuswamy
Dr. P. R. Muthuswamy was born in an agricultural family in Pollachi. He moved to Coimbatore for his graduation in Mathematics and Management at the PSG Institute. He obtained his Doctorate in Management from Bharathiar University. He is also an alumnus of IIM, Ahmedabad. He has been into teaching and research for more than three decades.
He has served as Head of Karunya University, a B-School. He has also served as Dean at MS Health Care Management of Saint Joseph’s University, USA; and also as the Principal of Dr. N. G. P. Arts and Science College. Presently, he serves as Director of Academics at Dr. N. G. P. Educational Institutions and as Chairman of the Ethics Committee of Kovai Medical Center and Hospital. He is also the President of the Rotary Club of Coimbatore East.
At Bharathiar University, he served in various capacities as a member in the Senate and the Syndicate. He has served as President of the Association of Principals, as well as Vice President of All India College Principals Foundation. He has published three books and produced 10 Ph.D. scholars to his credit.
He has been honored with Rotary’s Nation Builder Award, Dr. G. R. D. Best Teacher Award,and Life Time Achievement Award.
He has addressed many forums in various institutions in India and abroad. He is married toMrs. Rani and blessed with a son, Vivek Anand.
