Newness of Life is a compilation of 101 meditations of the heart. The content is biblical and the language is simple. These reflections are based on Scripture passages that were originally written during the lockdown years, 2020-21, in random order, 365 in all. They were arranged thematically later. It was never meant to be published since it is a part of a personal prayer journal that the author later decided to share with others.
Some of the topics include repentance, holiness, faith, divine healing, salvation, praise and God's eternal Word. The Christian walk is not just terribly difficult—a path so rocky that many fall by the wayside, but it is downright impossible to achieve in our human strength. It is, however, simple and full of joy when we partner with "the Helper," the Holy Spirit who abides in us.
The purpose of this book, therefore, is to address some of the doubts that haunt us and the lies of this world that cling to us from our past life. It is the Truth alone that sets us free and enables us to live as Jesus taught us. So, Newness of Life is intended to encourage the Christian to walk by Faith and not by sight, on the narrow path, and in the victorious "New Life" that we have in Christ Jesus.

Marian Burn is a regular Christian, one that enjoys studying God’s Word. Having experienced the Grace of God, His abundance and His power in her own life, she has a repository of experiences from which she teaches and writes. She has no formal training and no degrees from any Bible college or seminary. However, she loves the Truth of God’s Word more than anything else and realizes that she has only begun to scratch the surface.
Her special interest is in the subject of divine healing and health, which comes through the Cross of Christ, because she saw such a little knowledge on the subject in her local church and could feel the lowest levels of faith in Christians around her.
The purpose of this book is to bring the Love of God to every heart and increase faith, especially in these present times. She felt people needed to know that despite the pestilences that the world is seeing, we have a God much greater—One who has promised to preserve and heal us, One who loves us as no one else can.
