Irfan Sait Razack was born on 2 February 1961 in Chennai where he was raised and educated. He is an alumnus of Loyola College.
He joined the merchant navy in 1979, and being a sea dog, he continues to sail with Anglo-Eastern.
When on land, he resides in Mumbai with his wife and daughter.
