Dr.Ramya.K, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Oxbridge College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru, she started her career as scientist and worked in both synthetic and analytical R and D in various capacities in LGC PROMOCHEM INDIA PVT LTD. Bengaluru, she synthesized various impurity reference standards with 99% purity and handled instruments such as FT-IR, HPLC ( Analytical & Preparative), LC/MS, GC/MS, CHNS analyzer and Developed novel method for analysis of reference standards and validated the developed mathod.We have published 6 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Research group is working on antihypertensives, targeting on Renin inhitors.

Dr. BR Prashantha Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, the research group is working on Glitazones or thiazolidinediones targeting PPAR-alpha and PPAR-gamma for the past 20 years. Primarily, focused our research on the development of some novel glitazones as insulin sensitizers which includes computer-aided design, synthesis, analysis, and screening. We have published 61 articles in peer-reviewed journals and we have two granted Indian patents. However, academics is my passion and thought organic chemistry, advanced medicinal chemistry, and computer-aided drug design to both graduates and post-graduate students for the past 20 years. My group has identified PTSA as a novel catalyst for the synthesis of 1,4-dihydropyridmidines. I am presently guiding 5 Ph.D. scholars.
