The subject topic of the book arouses a curiosity about what sound is. Sound is not a fiction that deals with human emotions, but a non-fiction and scientific subject, run on principles and laws of nature. Know that sound is not a physical product hence it is not visible yet it is the most essential subject to run life. Sound works with sound waves caused by a vibrating source. These waves are converted into electrical signals and transmitted to the brain to interpret them as sound.
Anything that vibrates makes sound. No vibration no sound. Sound is all about vibration. To make a sound, something has to start a vibration, whether that is the string on a violin, or any stringed instrument, a loud speaker, the voice box of a person and so on.
Sound travels in waves, like waves of water on the sea. This means that sound needs a medium for travelling. Be it a solid like wall, liquid like water or gas like air. It reaches our ear as a wave and the human ear is an instrument that works to create the perception of sound. Sound wave consists of vibrating particles. These vibrating particles knock into other particles causing them to vibrate, and so the sound can travel away from the source to reach human ear. .
