Purvang Mantri
Purvang Mantri was born in January 1998. After completing his schooling, he pursued Diploma in Automobile Engineering in the year 2013 and Bachelor’s in Automobile Engineering in 2016. During his bachelor’s, Purvang participated in Baja, organized by SAE India and Mahindra and Mahindra. In that event, he worked on the suspension system of their Baja buggy. He even led a team, representing his institute in the event of Virtual Baja once. The same year he was offered the position of Chairperson of the SAEPU, which was the SAE Collegiate Club of the institute.
After pursuing his Bachelor's, he started working as a Freelance Designer for a local additive manufacturing organization. Later, he joined as a lecturer in the same institute where he was once a student. While working as a faculty, Purvang used to teach subjects like Vehicle Dynamics, Automotive Certification and Homologation and Basics of Automobile Engineering to the students of Automobile and Mechanical Engineering. Apart from teaching, he also mentored students who participated in competitions like SAE India’s Efficycle and ISIE’s Indian Karting Race.
In 2020, Purvang started pursuing Post Graduate Diploma in Electric Mobility from the College of Engineering Pune in collaboration with the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). While pursuing his post-graduate diploma, he worked as a student intern for Altair India. He worked on a thermal cooling system for a two-wheeler battery pack using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Simultaneously, he made videos related to automobile engineering and motorcycle reviews for his YouTube channel.
The motive of the YouTube channel was to spread the knowledge of automobile engineering to everyone keen to learn. He tried to make the concept of vehicles easy to digest. With his channel, Purvang is answering the queries of students who are either pursuing automobile engineering or want to pursue automobile engineering. He has made videos related to some basic topics as well as advanced and future-oriented technologies of automobile engineering, which will be seen in upcoming vehicles. Today, his channel has over 1000 subscribers and it is still climbing.
