To understand the biological behavior of odontogenic tumor correlation with clinical features, radiological features and histopathological features helps in attaining an accurate diagnosis of tumor pathology. The complexity of the odontogenic tumor finds difficulty in tracing the etiology and pathogenesis of the tumor. To certain extent the characteristic interaction between the epithelial and mesenchymal component has a role in pathogenesis and histodifferentiation of odontogenic tumors. But the recent studies are evident to identify the molecular alterations responsible for tumor proliferation
