As a son of Meignanapuram, I know much about the Missionaries who served here. Since my parents were teachers they grew me in the shadow of history. In 1989, I joined St. Paul’s Church, Choir, Meignanapuram. After completing my SSLC, I joined YMCA, Meignanapuram and took part in its social service activities. I also served as the Secretary of YMCA, Meignanapuram. Since then, I was in close association with the Deacons and Reverends who servedat St. Paul’s Church, Meignanapuram which was built in the Year 1847. I did my schooling in Ambrose Hr.Sec.School, Meignanapuram. During my school days, I came to know more about the contributions of various missionaries. After my graduation from Aditanar College of Arts and Science, I was in the search of an Institution which offers Post Graduation course in Physics. That was the first time I visited Pope’s College, Sawyerpuram and heard about the contributions of Rev.Dr.G.U.Pope to the people of Sawyerpuram.
