Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalChandraghanta Palace Hotel is India’s only seven star hotel and arguably the most sought after hotel destination for the affluent not only in India but around the world.
But the extravagant hotel had a dark secret that was hidden from the guests and staff alike, except for some old staff who knew about it and only a handful were unfortunate enough to experience it first-hand in Room 333.
The hotel was once a palace built centuries ago by a tyrant king name Vishwaraj. Apart from his violent ways he was a sex monger who was infamous for his insatiable appetite for women and the women dreaded to cross his path.
A tribal woman named Shyama had no inkling of what lay in store for her and her tribe when the tyrant laid his lecherous eyes on her nubile beauty.
What followed thereafter was Shyama’s unending journey in search of salvation, revenge and her lost love. A quest that lasted for centuries. The only way out for Shyama was to avenge her torturous ordeal and punish everyone who was part of the heinous crime; crimes which were committed time and again on her, life after life. A cursed soul! She had waited for centuries and now it is time.
If you are visiting the palace hotel, beware! Maybe it is you who she is waiting for.
Sunil Menon
Sunil Menon is a 1972 born B.E Graduate from Bombay University. After seventeen years of running in the rat-race, he called it quits. He renounced his career in IT, left Dubai, and landed in Bangalore; to focus inward.
A personal tragedy led to incessant thoughts and that led him to reflect on the meaning of life. What followed thereafter was his first book – MOH – The Illusions of Life.
The author considers his first book a stepping stone into the literati world and with Doctor Monk, his second book, the author ventured into the limitless world of fiction writing — The art of writing without boundaries — and yet, there were certain boundaries to be maintained for the story to make sense and grip the reader.
Doctor Monk was appreciated by all those who read it and the embedded message was well received. The success of the book motivated the author to take on a new passion.
The writing bug induced a new vigour in the author and soon the world of fiction became his playground. His third book, The Blue Diamond of Amanapore is an out-and-out whodunit\howdunnit suspense action thriller.
The reader’s response instilled the required confidence and what followed was, Blame it on the Butterfly, a bizarre event thriller.
Who smeared on my White Canvas is a rags-to-riches-to-rags-to riches story with a profound message.
