Smita D. Talukdar

Smita D. Talukdar is a passionate poet as well as a self-published author. Best known for her book "Stop. No!," based on true stories of child abuse, Talukdar hails from the beautiful state of Meghalaya, adding an element of natural beauty and inspiration to her work.

Her literary journey began as a junior correspondent for a techno-commercial magazine, where she honed her skills as a writer. Building on this experience, Talukdar went on to write for various print media outlets, contributing news articles and even taking on anchoring roles for news organizations.

In addition to her journalistic pursuits, Talukdar pursued her master's degree in journalism and mass communication from NEHU. During her studies, she showcased her creative talents and storytelling abilities by scriptwriting a short film that received recognition at two different events. This achievement highlighted her versatile capabilities as a writer.

For the past four years, Talukdar devoted herself to working as a senior content writer for an IT firm. However, her true passion lies in creative writing, and she is currently focusing on developing her skills further by working on three upcoming novels.
