Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalThere is an extraordinary beauty in the pride a father feels for his young son, and extraordinary anguish upon being deprived of him unjustly. They say, “Moments last for seconds, but memories make them last forever”. SNATCHED AWAY UNJUSTLY does not only explore the treasure trove of memories buried deep in the hearts of two grieving parents, but also explains the secret ingredients that went into the making of a commendable and charismatic 24-year-old youngster, whose loss will forever weigh heavy on those who were lucky enough to know him and experience his love. This is probably the toughest topic for any English Professor to write about, but Dr. M. ILANKUMARAN beautifully explains how the loss is heaviest on the parents. It is not only the sorrow of looking forward to ht e nothingness that remains after losing their hope for a tomorrow, but also the emptiness that pricks and haunts every living moment of their lives. Even amidst the searing anguish, he manages to convey how, by the end of his brief stay in this world, Abilash had earned what most of us fail to in whole lifetime: his father’s respect. In short, “Snatched Away Unjustly is the agonizing tale of a parent having lost prematurely a budding son at a young age”.
