Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalTAWI SPEAKS is in fact a small effort from my side for preserving and promoting my mother tongue Dogri and cultural traditions of Duggar Pradesh. Through the write ups in the book what I wish to state is that the sacred river Tawi, which is also called Surya Putri and finds references in religious books is in fact a life line of Jammu province and speaks a lot about the sufferings of regional language and cultural heritage but we should have that sight to see, hearing capacity to listen to her and belongingness to feel the pathos.
We all know that we should put in our best with all honest approach to fulfill our responsibilities towards our mother land. But we seldom care for same. We need to seek lessons and inspiration from those regions like North-East India and South India especially who are so much concerned about their languages and cultural traditions. They preserve and promote same Generations to Generations taking it as their foremost responsibility. On the contrary, we have so called ‘Think Tank’ who prefers to argue in aimless debates just to project them as very concerned ones whereas the fact remains that it’s just an eyewash.
Let us get rid of those alleged concerned ones and serve our mother tongue Dogri and our regional culture with all devotion in whatever way we may, because we don’t have to prove ourselves to others but to the soul within.
