Shipra Verma
Shipra Verma is a Masters in Botany and a poet at heart writing
poetry since childhood. A passionate music lover and singing is her
life. She has been publishing her poems in magazines and digital
media, also broadcasting on All India Radio, Mumbai and television.
She writes in both Hindi and English and is equally apt in poetry as
well as prose. Some of her creations are:- “Ravine and Peak
(2018)English Poetry, Chhappan Bhog (2019), joint collection of
Hindi Poems, Akinchan Kavitaayein* (2005), and Intertwined
Threads (2022), collection of short stories by several authors. She
has also worked as an Editor for scientific magazines. A freelance
Translator, she has translated many works into English from Hindi;
Draupadi (by Sumitra Agrawal), Malavgadh ki Malvika (Santosh
Srivastav), Hawwa ki beti (Divya Jain)…to name a few. She is
currently translating Santosh Srivastav’s novel ‘Kathreen and life of
Naga Sadhus’ into English from Hindi. Post corona period she is
migrated to her home town in Bihar and joined the department of
Biotechnology at the prestigious MLT Saharsa College, Saharsa. Her
writings usually are of the philosophical nature, emotionally
charged, natural, with straight connect to the heart.
