Born and brought up in Gooty (R.S), Andhra Pradesh, Sajida Begum led a very simple and rustic life. Surrounded by her loving parents and ten siblings, she had an enjoyable time growing up. After her schooling in Telugu medium, she went on to pursue her college in Gulbarga. When she randomly chose English Literature as one of her subjects in college, she was amazed at the vastness of it and wanted to explore it more. This curiosity and love towards literature encouraged her to unravel the writings of famous authors and understand human nature in a very different way. She holds two Masters Degrees; one in English Literature and another in Education. She took up teaching as a career as it always fascinated her since her childhood. She has been an English teacher for Middle School and College for twenty-seven years. She enjoys composing poetry and short stories for children. She is a brilliant painter who captures nature in her portraits and landscapes. Now 53, she resides in Gangavati, Karnataka, with her husband and two children. After teaching for a long period, she has now found a new interest in Kindergarten and has been the Head of Kindergarten School for 10 years besides teaching. As a writer, she perceives the people around her as characters and takes real life incidents to build stories.
