Dr. Sachindra Nath Mishra is the founder of the Center for Pollution Control (CPC), a partnership firm established in Varanasi for biomedical waste management in 2005. Later on, this partnership firm was converted into a company to expand its business in other areas, known as CPC POWER INDIA PVT. LTD. His vision was to transform Varanasi, and after 18 years of hard work, he succeeded in making Varanasi largely free from biomedical waste. Today, CPC POWER INDIA PVT. LTD. is one of the leading companies in the disposal of biomedical waste in Varanasi.
Dr. Sachin Mishra's journey started in 2005 when diseases like diarrhea and dengue were spreading in Varanasi, which was also developing as a medical hub. The waste from hospitals was being dumped in residential areas. When he laid the foundation of CPC POWER INDIA PVT. LTD. for Biomedical Waste Management, he faced many questions, but he stood firm in his commitment. His efforts have resulted in 80-90% of the hospitals in Varanasi being associated with CPC POWER INDIA PVT. LTD.
In addition to his work in biomedical waste management, Dr. Sachin Mishra has been involved in several other social and environmental causes. He founded Recyclo Power in 2020 to address the issue of plastic waste management and has been associated with the plastic-free India campaign. He also runs dozens of non-governmental organizations and has associations with various government organizations. He has worked on initiatives such as providing free food programs, environmental protection, solid waste management, employment for the poor, construction of happy schools, medical distribution programs, drinking water arrangements, and distribution of blankets. He has also planted over 5000 saplings and installed tree guards to protect 70% of the plants.
Dr. Sachin Mishra is actively associated with sports and players and tries to solve their problems quickly. He is currently taking care of Asha Boxing Academy and other academies and clubs under his protection while discharging his responsibilities as the Vice President of Uttar Pradesh Boxing Association. He believes in providing high-quality training to children from over 50 poor families so that they can participate in competitions against the country and abroad and bring medals and recognition to their country and city, Varanasi.
