In this story, the basic difference between Indian culture and Western culture has been analyzed through a real and individualistic young lady. The young lady is symbolized as a female eagle because a female eagle is considered more dangerous than a male eagle, and such individualistic young ladies are also considered more dangerous in our society. The first twelve stories of the book are set in a period of almost twenty-five years ago and they represent the lifestyle of that time period. The last four stories of the book represent the recent times. All the stories are based on true characters and incidents. The stories in this book are bound to enrich the life experience of the readers.

B N Pandey holds a PhD in Hindi from Patna University. As a Hindi Pradhyapak and as an Assistant Director in the HTS/CHTI, Department of Official Language, MHA, Government of India, he has taught Hindi to non-Hindi speaking officials in Kolkata, Imphal, Chennai and Tiruchirapalli. While working as an Assistant Director and later as a Deputy Director in various Regional Implementation Offices, Dept. of OL, he has supervised the implementation of the Official Language Hindi in thousands of offices located in sixteen states of North-east, Eastern and Central India. He has toured extensively and interacted with thousands of officials. During this period, whatever he wrote, he wrote to fulfill the dire need of the market. His other books include ‘Up-To-Date Hindi Grammar’, ‘Applied Hindi Grammar’, ‘Official Correspondence and ‘Noting’ and ‘Up-To-Date Hindi-English Reader’. The Female Eagle was initially written in Hindi and was then translated into English for non–Hindi speaking Indian and overseas readers.
