Pravinchandra Thakkar is a positive thinker, very punctual, with ever progres sive personality and believes in perfor- mance. Manages difficult situation very easily. Thakkar is the person dedicated to work and believes that 'work is worship'. Whatever he thinks and says, implements it in life. Thakkar likes reading and writing. His sunrise brightens his mind and enlightens his home daily. He does not allow stress, boredom and worries to come closer. Sober and humble Thakkar was born on 28th August, 1946, belongs to Kutch, did his M.A. with Economics and then B.A. with English as a main subject from Gujarat University.
Thakkar served with post and Telegraph Department, Government of India in Bhuj. During the period he had estab- lished 'Haiku Mandal' and 'Sahitya Sabha' there. Thakkar was the secratary in National Union of Postal Employees, Kutch district. He had joined Lokbharti Gram vidyapith as a lecturer in 1973. Also worked as a Director-Trustee from 2002 to 2009.
Thakkar had been imparting education in the subjects like Economics, English, Co-operation and Gandhian thoughts in the Gram vidyapith. He was dean, faculty of rural studies in the Bhavnagar university. After retirement, Thakkar had worked as a honourary professor in the I.A.S. training centre, Bhavnagar.
Moreover, he has been spreading his vast knowledge in many different institutions and committees. He is the chairman, board of studies in Mangalbharti Gram vidyapith. In his credit there are 29 titles. He has been falicitated by Shishu vihar Bhavnagar, Patri Sarvoday Samaj Mumbai etc. institutions.
