Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalThis book is a prequel to every marketing book you’ve ever read.
Behind all the shiny models, buzzwords, and theories - there are raw truths of human behaviour at work.
Why does ₹990 feel like a bargain, compared to ₹1,000?
Why does swiping a card hurt less than handing over the same amount in hard cash?
How does one innocent scroll on Instagram Reels turn into an hour-long binge?
And how do marketers trick us into thinking we’re in control, even when they’re often the ones pulling the strings?
In this book, we’ll unwrap the unfiltered truths behind persuasion, choice, motivation, habits, loyalty, and cognitive biases - all the stuff an MBA conveniently glosses over.
We’ll also dissect cutting-edge tools like Neuromarketing and dive into the Psychology of AI.
This is your backstage pass to the real mind-games of marketing - and how marketers get us to open our wallets, willingly.
Once you see how the tricks are done, you won’t be able to unsee them.
Ready to dive in? This rabbit hole goes deeper than you think.
Harinder Singh Pelia
Harinder Singh Pelia is a man with three great obsessions: marketing, memes, and mutton biryani - in no particular order (though let’s be honest, biryani would win). Since the age of 18, he’s been hooked on marketing, either studying it, doing it, or persuading someone else to fall for it. He’s led marketing teams at Amazon, Ajio Luxe, Diesel, and other brands that you’ve probably spent too much money on.
Currently pursuing a PhD in marketing at XLRI Jamshedpur, he’s also the founder of the 10Xer Club, a community for India’s best marketers to upskill, network, land jobs, and occasionally rant over a beer or two. And yes, he’s got a podcast too, because, well, everyone does now.
