Jnaneshwarar(C. Ramasamy) has worked as a college professor and is a voracious reader himself. He has a habit of seeking explanations for his doubts in whatever he reads, especially with regard to religious writings and devotional songs. He has written eight other books of which seven are in Tamil and one is in English. Of the seven Tamil books, two of them contain poems. One of them has ninety-four songs and the other contains 1830 songs, which are mostly devotional. Presently, he lives alone in an ashram he founded called Kavanur Jnana Ashram (near Chennai).
