Subrat SaurabhAuthor of Kuch Woh PalBanking both in the public and private sectors continues to be a provider of a decent livelihood to millions of Indians since long. Though there are quite a few very popular novels written in Indian English depicting the life stories of professional bankers, all of them pertain to the mesmeric world of international monetary behemoths and the corporate giants but tell little about the lives of our own humble public sector bankers particularly belonging to the critical times of their painful transition to modern banking. This work portrays the ups and downs in the life of one of them handicapped in a peuliar way but who happened to stray into the field of the unprofessional ways of Indian banking in the public sector during the last lap of twentieth century. This book will definitely prove nostalgic as well as fascinating to read for those millions of retired banking personnel who drifted with the currents of those turbulent times. For the others it will be simply another awesome experience
