Rahul Jain
Rahul is an engineering bloke who found his calling in Human Resources. He understands people and is intrigued by human behavior, a quest he is keen to pursue throughout his life.
Writing became the purpose of his life when it found him during the pandemic, bringing direction to his meandering missteps. His writing is a first-person narrative, and he passionately takes various perspectives across genres and ages while telling fictional stories. He has successfully published three titles; the fourth is under publication as you read this note.
His first work was ‘The Fleeting Emotions,’ an anthology of seven short stories narrating stories around ephemeral emotions that profoundly impact our lives. The second work was a novel titled ‘The Other Angle,’ based on the LGBTQIA+ theme. It intertwined the lives of three protagonists caught in a myriad of less-spoken issues in society on sexual orientation and mental awareness. His third work ‘Equals,’ again an anthology of seven short stories, explores the underlying theme of equality in society and how individuals strive to attain the same in social stature and relationships with their loved ones.
Rahul’s fourth work, ‘Wayanad,’ is a dedication to his love towards Kerala, which started twenty years back when he joined NIT Calicut. The coming-of-age story covers the journey of a boy who has a turbulent childhood in the beauty of Wayanad, only to discover the peace in his chaotic world through the outsider perspective of his non-Keralite soulmate. It also covers some of the most relevant topics on opportunities within Kerala and the mellifluous beauty in simplicity and diversity of the local lives.
Rahul has also spoken at multiple social events, physically and virtually. One can visit his site rjauthorjee.com to learn more about his professional journey and about his passion as an author.
I hope you enjoy this journey with him. He is settled in Bangalore with his better half and two wonderful kids.
