As a young boy of 10, Shaun had started writing verses and lines in his free time which eventually became his poetry book, or more like a personal diary; one he wouldn’t share easily. But a few years later due to a major flood the city Kolkata, his family home was flooded and he lost his diary with over 30 poetries. It was heartbreaking and then he lost interest in writing all together. 25 years later, in 2022, he got back to writing on the advice of a close friend, but he was writing stories and scripts for prospective Hindi feature films, later in the year when things weren’t going as planned he sat down and penned a few lines which eventually became a stanza and then a poem; at that moment, flashes of his childhood came flooding back like a river. He's kept writing ever since and is still exploring more subjects and genres to write on.
