The All Indian Bar Examination will be conducted in nine languages, and advocates can choose to take the examination in any one of these nine languages, which are: Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Oriya, and English.
From the academic year 2009-2010 on wards all students (newly enrolled as an Advocate) shall have to pass Examination (AIBE) within two years of graduating LL. B, as per the resolution was adopted by the Bar Council of India on 10 April 2010. The AIBE exam is one of the most important exams for advocates opting for the Certificate of Practice (COP).
