Through this book we have come to the conclusion that trauma theory can be effectively applied in Bangladesh Partition Literature. By the analysis of a short story and four other memoirs we have encountered different traumatic conditions explained indirectly through them. For a better understanding of the different events that had taken place in the selected literary works the history of Bangladesh Partition is given in details in the introductory section. It gives us a clear idea about how the riots, violence and other atrocities committed during the partition period are associated in the works. Most of the works include events from 1947 and 1971 partition events.

Saran S (MA, Ph.D.) was born in 1992 in Kerala, India. He completed BA and MA degree from Christian College, Chengannur, University of Kerala in 2014 and 2016 respectively. He is a writer, Poet, Nature Activist, Teacher and Research Scholar. He also completed his Doctoral Research under the guidance of Dr. R. Vasuhi in Department of English, M. S. University in 2020. His areas are Comparative Literature, Indian Literature, British Literature Cultural Studies, Film Studies and Eco-Studies.

Reenu Roy  is Asst. Professor at St. Marys college, Manarcadu, Kottayam, Kerala. Done several researches regarding the plight of native people from their countries as part of partition. A writer and critic on subjects regarding partition literature.
