The objective of this course is to strengthen the pre-requisite knowledge required for
analytical chemistry in semester-I. Students’ will:
(a.) Understand the purpose and method of arrangement of elements in the
periodic table of elements.
(b.) Able to compute molecular weights
(c.) Gain an understanding of mole-concept.
(d.) Understand the procedure of calculation of number of moles.
(e.) Learn the steps involved in balancing a chemical equation.
(f.) Understand acid-base reactions.
(g.) Gain knowledge about the concept of molarity/normality and solve
associated numerical problems.
Dr Hardesh K. Maurya
Dr. Hardesh K. Maurya is presently working as an Assistant Prof. at Hygia Institute of Pharmacy. He worked as Assistant Prof. Babashaeb Bhimrao Ambedkar University & visiting faculty to Lucknow University, Lucknow. He had worked as young scientist, CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow and research Associate, Lucknow University. Beside this Dr. Maurya is also having an industrial experience (ALL, Raigad). He has supervised/co-supervised M. Phil & M.Sc. students. He has published more than 38 research/ review articles and served as editorial board member and reviewers of international journals. He has also awarded UGC-NET-JRF/SRF, CSIR-RA and DST-FAST Track fellowships. He has comprehensive work experience of 11 years in the field of research /academia.
