Carnival of Ideas

Author Name: Edit Academic | Format: Paperback | Genre : Educational & Professional | Other Details

Social and literary actions are not complete without the theoretical, critical and creative interventions of observers who nurture a cupidity for learning, research and reform. Social and cultural events involve multifarious processes that are often concealed from the purview of laymen, who understand things as a single narrative. Often, these single narratives are deconstructed by the deeper inquiries and interrogations of critical minds who unravel the undercurrents of the apparently naïve but influential happenings ranging from social campaigns, governmental policies to even medical crises with the latest addition of the Covid pandemic. In this sense, it becomes a highly accountable duty of the academic community to indulge in critical investigations as to lay bare the aesthetic as well as political state of social affairs. It is highly commendable that students and research scholars of the day, besides academicians, are active partakers of this learning, unlearning and re-learning process of approaching their contemporary socio-cultural and literary life. This book accommodates the toils and findings of many such research scholars and underpins the tremendous role of research in academic growth in positing itself as a platform for fresh perspectives and novel ruminations on a variety of topics as media literacy and ethics, governance and policy making, eco-critical studies, gender studies, ICT and ELT, digital humanities and cultural studies.
