Dr. Onita Nakra is an educational psychologist with a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, USA. Her area of specialization is teaching children and adults with learning disability and other special needs. Dr. Nakra has over twenty-five years of teaching and diagnostic experience. The combination of skills with experience allows her to enter into a committed partnership with the families of children with special needs. Currently based in Dubai (UAE) Dr. Nakra has conducted workshops across the world training teachers and parents to develop the learning potential of their children. She has contributed widely to journals, magazines and newspapers. Her second book Understanding Autism: A Guide for Parents and Teachers is published in January 2019.
